Short for a digital edition of a book, magazine, or newspaper. These digital editions, or digitions, may also be called ebooks, emagazines, or enewspapers, but just as ecommerce eventually became just commerce, ebooks, emagazines, and enewspapers will eventually be referred to as just books, magazines, and newspapers. Therefore a new term was needed, digital editions, or digitions for short.
