Manly is a suburb of northern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Manly is located 17 kilometres north-east of the Sydney central business district and is the administrative centre of the local government area of Manly Council, in the Northern Beaches region

Usually ironic, challenging the common view of what is manly, like saying "baking muffins and doing the dishes #manly". Also used ironic as in "See, I kill spiders with my hands, right before making love to fair maidens and chopping down trees #manly". Could also be used by someone who thinks driving big trucks and hunting is the only things that's manly. In this case without irony.
