  • Uwais ibn ʻAmir ibn Harb al-Qarni (Arabic: أويس ابن أنيس القرني‎‎), was a Muslim from Yemen who lived during the lifetime of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad.[2] His shrine is in Salalah Oman. Another mosque & shrine is constructed in his honor in al-Raqqah, Syria. It was destroyed by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant in 2013.
