QPD stands for Qualified Police Dog Handler, a qualification awarded to Military Working Dog Handlers in the RAF Police until the 1990's or so. It is often used as RAFP QPD. Doghandlers would often "joke" that the term really meant Qualified Painter and Decorator for all the work they used to do around the dog section.
