On 10th March 2012 at around 7.45pm EAT, a grenade went off at a Nairobi bus terminus killing (as up to now) 5 people. While reporting on the incident, CNN put a banner reading " violence erupts in Kenya" This incensed the Kenyan community on Twitter, known in short as KOT and they demanded an apology from CNN giving this as an example of how western media misrepresents the African stories.
